THE VALUE OF ADVICE – WORKING WITH A TRUSTED ADVISOR

Consulting is a process, not a product

Our work is analysis and craft in equal measure and thus a constant development in doing, in changing, in improving.

When you face major problems or new projects within your business, there are a number of options from which you can choose once you have committed to taking action toward resolution. A common response then may be to try and grow expertise to tackle the project among in-house resources. If that isn’t an immediate option, you might look to hire a full-time resource or contractor with a specific skill set to try and fill the void. These avenues can be expensive and time-consuming options, leaving you to continue to suffer with the problem or issue while also expending resources to hire, onboard, and train that resource.

If your organization has a problem too large and complex to solve on your own, or if the problem requires a specialty skill that you don’t immediately possess within your organization, a consultant is your most efficient and cost-effective option. This is why more and more companies in the travel industry are realizing how important external help and a critical eye from an outsider can be. Challenging circumstances, unhappy guests, new market developments or stagnant growth can turn out to be significantly more expensive than a consultant’s fee.

As your trusted advisor we work according to the participatory design method and ask ourselves: Which dialog processes and planning tools are the simplest and most effective when it comes to identifying, critically prioritizing and then meeting the most urgent needs of our customers? An important part of our work is also to alleviate fears of change, to create confidence, and to initiate further processes swiftly in the process. Pragmatically and quickly, cost-effectively and sustainably.

* This process is only a rough and highly abbreviated outline. In practice, the respective change solutions and accompanying processes are usually much more complex. The appropriate approach will be carefully coordinated with you as part of personal, individual support.

The best match for your needs

When working with HOTEL AND TRAVEL INSIGHT, you get the experience and performance of large consulting companies at the considerably more favorable conditions of a boutique consulting firm. Also, in large companies, there is an established hierarchy that assigns junior consultants to clients for daily operations and “small” projects while more senior consultants supervise from a high level. In contrast, we do not delegate projects to less experienced employees; thus, you will have always an experienced and trusted advisor at your side.

Excellent communication and price transparency are part of a cooperative partnership. However, depending on the situation and the complexity of the task, the workload for us as consultants varies greatly. Therefore, we cannot quote a flat fee at this point. The costs may depend on many individual factors, scope of services, subject area, your expectations as well as the duration of the respective project, which can only be determined in discussion with you. To us, a true partnership requires more than a classic remuneration model based on the principle of “time for money”!

Let’s discuss your vision, challenges and goals so we can prepare an offer for you. Our consulting fee can be a fixed work package or a value-based fee, the criteria of which we determine together with you. Most popular fee structures vary between hourly rate, daily rate, monthly retainer, project based rate or value and ROI based.
